Who We Are
Jason King
Jason is the Owner of King Construction Group. He is one of the most loyal, honest, and reliable people we know. His business approach is old school- he insists that we take our time, take pride in our work, and get it right. Our clients’ expectations are his own which calls for a hands-on approach. He logs a lot of miles and cell phone minutes personally checking job sites and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty.
He began his career in construction nearly a decade ago after ten years in the corporate world handling insurance claims. He gladly traded in his dress shirts to follow his dream of being a builder. Jason grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, but fell in love with the South while at college at Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe on a waterski-jumping scholarship. We call him a Southerner, but he still doesn’t like grits. When Jason has free time, you can find him on a boat or in the woods. He and his wife, Michelle, are busy raising their family on the same street Michelle grew up on in Destin.
Jason is a Certified Building Contractor and a Certified Roofing Contractor licensed in the state of Florida.
Michelle King
Michelle is the Co-Owner of King Construction Group, a Realtor at The Premier Property Group, and Jason’s wife. She doesn’t need coffee to charge her batteries. She has enough energy and tenacity for all of us. She grew up in Destin and calls it her home with pit stops in New Orleans and Tampa along the way. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Advertising/PR and a Minor in Marketing from Loyola University in New Orleans. Our very own Doogie Howser graduated with honors just three days after her 20th birthday. Kevin King
Kevin is King Construction Group’s Project Manager and Jason’s brother. It was a dream of Jason’s to work alongside his brother in this business and we’re glad to have him. Kevin’s number one objective is customer satisfaction by way of keeping jobs on a timeline and using quality materials and subcontractors. Kevin began his career in construction more than two decades ago. He has hands on experience in just about every facet of construction from framing to finish work. He’s worked for homebuilders in Chicago, Gainesville, Orlando, and Destin. Nothing slips past Kevin. He has an eye for detail and a passion for perfection.
